The detailed assessment package is suitable for families seeking a thorough, standalone evaluation of their child's communication needs, particularly where ongoing sessions are not required.

Designed for families requiring detailed assessment and reporting for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in England.

Therapy sessions can include working directly with your child, observing and coaching parents or carers, telephone or online advice sessions, and review sessions after a therapy break. The cost of these sessions depends on how long they are, whether they happen at home, nursery, school, or remotely. Most face to face therapy sessions are 60 minutes long, with shorter sessions available where appropriate.

Consisting of an ADOS-2 assessment (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule), an ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) and a school/nursery observation.

The ADOS involves observing how a child communicates, interacts socially, plays, and engages in imaginative or repetitive behaviours through age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, puzzles, and conversations.

The ADI-R is a semi-standardized interview used to diagnose autism in individuals aged 2 and up. The interview is conducted with a parent or caregiver who knows the individual well. It assesses social interaction, language, communication, and restricted or stereotyped behavior

A nursery/school observation of your child to observe them amongst their peers and to speak to the class Teacher or SENCO.

Priced from £1650 for an ADOS -2

The SOSI-M includes 14 structured tasks—such as standing on one foot, heel-to-toe walking, ocular movements, and sequential finger touching—that are designed to observe how a child responds to sensory input and maintains motor control. Results are scored manually or electronically and used to guide intervention planning, especially for children with challenges in maintaining posture, regulating movement, or processing sensory information effectively.

The fee for training sessions depends on the requirements for that particular course: number of attendees, location, and whether it is a bespoke or standard package.

Prices start from £150 for a one hour standard session.

Service Level Agreements Directly with Schools

The Speech and Language Therapy agreement would provide you with

Following sessions SENCO’s will be provided with information on who has been seen and any onward steps.  An open dialogue between school SENCO and Michael Smith, Speech and Language Therapy can be maintained throughout the term of the contract.   Contracts are for the full academic year.
